Bid via Connect Realtime®

Can’t make it to the auction but still want to be part of the action? No problem. Bid from your chosen location, on your chosen device and watch the auction as it unfolds while bidding against ‘in the room,’ bidders.

If you’re looking to watch the live auction and are not looking to bid you do not need to register. Every live auction will be streamed through our website and is available for all to watch.

Around 30 minutes prior to the auction commencement there will be a link from our homepage and our lots page that will take you directly to the live auction. If you were approved to bid you will need to login using your username or email address and your password so be sure to keep these credentials safe.

Once logged in you have the ability to bid.

Our presenter will introduce the auction and welcome you to the property and land sale. The auctioneer will then make a number of announcements about the auction procedure. He will also announce any withdrawn and pre-sold lots. Lots are almost always offered in the order in which they appear in the catalogue.

Our presenter will then introduce each lot and refer to any last-minute changes. The current lot number and address will be displayed on your device next to or above the video stream.

The auctioneer will then invite bids at a particular level and you will be able to hit the bid button which will show you the amount being asked for as well as the highest current bid.

We recommend a minimum dedicated 350kb/s down per downloaded stream to maintain a stable video connection. We also cannot be held responsible failure of internet services.

The auctioneer will regulate the bidding increments until all the bidding is finished. He will give everyone a few moments warning before bringing down his gavel at which point the property is sold to the highest bidder. You will see this on your screen as, Going once,’ ‘Going Twice,’ ‘Final chance to bid..’

If you are the highest bidder on a lot then firstly, congratulations on buying at auction. You will have already signed to say that you are happy for us to sign the memorandum of sale on your behalf to allow the exchange of contracts after the fall of the ‘virtual gavel.’

After this has been done one of our team will be in touch once the auction has finished to take payment of the lot deposit and buyers’ premium. Once this has been completed contracts will be sent to your solicitor as well as the sellers with completion usually to take place 28 working days later (or as varied by the Special Conditions of Sale) under the supervision of your solicitor.

As soon as the hammer falls there is a binding contract of sale. The property is at your insurable risk from this point. Please ensure that you arrange your building insurance immediately after the sale.

If a lot does not sell and you wish to buy it, please call the office and register your interest on 0800 448 0100 (Freephone).
